This is your guide with everything you need to know to participate (FAQ and conditions). Don’t be overwhelmed with memorizing all the rules, as I will be organizing everything and reminding you of all the details along the experience.
Just be sure to read everything, at the end of the page is where you can apply.
Simply put, here’s what’s going to happen: I’m gathering a group of 5 people. I will purchase the book Anxious People by Frederick Backman, which I have not read yet, and I will send it to person 1’s house.
Person 1 has 3 weeks to read and annotate on the book or DNF it. After those 3 weeks, person 1 must send the book to person 2’s address. Person 2 will also read and annotate on the book (that now has person 1’s annotations) or DNF it within 3 weeks and then send it to person 3’s address. And so on so on.
Person 5 will be sending the book (now with person 1-5’s annotations) to my address.
I will be reading the book for the first time, now with all of your annotations, and sharing with you and the bookstagram community how the book is looking like.
You do not pay for the book. However, you will be the one supporting the following costs:
Tracked Shipping cost of the packaged book to the next person.
You should provide the tracking number as soon as you deliver your parcel.

💌 Cost estimation for tracked international shipping of an object weighing ~300g is approximately €9.00 (and €6.00 without tracking) [Portugal prices, may vary in your country].

A payment of €10, IN CASE you are responsible for breaking the chain. Scenarios where you are responsible for breaking the chain and the experience may be terminated:
You are held accountable to transfer me €10 for the cost of the book in these scenarios. Of course, I know you can simply ghost me, but that’s a risk I’m taking for this experience. Please collaborate with us.
By applying to participate in this experience you acknowledge that you can support these 2 costs.
I picked our book based on the following criteria: has to be a standalone, average rating on Goodreads, number of pages, genres, market price, cover aesthetic (lol) – in this order of priority.
